Duncan Kerr is a judge of the Federal Court of Australia and President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. He was appointed to those positions in May 2012.
During a long career Duncan acted as a barrister in a wide range of matters specialising in public law; constitutional and administrative law, human rights, criminal law, immigration and planning law. Duncan served as federal member for Denison for 23 years (1987-2010), as Attorney-General (1993) and Minister for Justice (1993-1996) in the Keating Government and as Parliamentary Secretary for Pacific Island Affairs (2007-2009) in the Rudd Government.
